Ararat Arts Precinct Redevelopment Photos

The redevelopment works at the Ararat Arts Precinct are well underway. The Project Control Group had its first inspection at the end of July. I was surprised by how much work had already been undertaken inside the Town Hall, but there is a ban on sharing any images of the inside works on social media. Due to that here are some photos of the slab for the new gallery and public toilets that were poured the day before.
Its difficult to judge the scale as the site is so large and we were unable to walk over the new area. Those of you who have been regular visitors to the gallery can see that the entrance to the new space has been moved down to opposite the council offices.
The new entrance will be where the door into the arts workshop had previously been.
Passing through Ararat yesterday I noticed that the frame and roof have been erected. Our next inspection shall be in a couple of weeks. Exciting times!
