It will be one year tomorrow since the passing of the Australian artist Margaret Olley, a national treasure in her own lifetime. Last night the ABC screened the documentary, Margaret Olley, A Life in Paint' as a tribute to the artist. A wonderful intimate look into her private world, the rambling former hat factory that she had called home for over 30 years. The act of painting is private and often solitary, but Margaret Olley dedicated her life up until her last day doing the one thing that she wanted to do, paint.
