Well it is ‘Buy nothing new month’ again so I am making a conscious effort to not buy anything this month. Considering I am trying hard to scale down my possessions it is not too tempting. So how did I go last year after writing this post? I was going really well until my Aunt and Uncle had a sale when they moved from home into a hostel. This tea set was given to my Aunty Rae as a 21st birthday present. So considering Aunty Rea turned 101 on the 1st September this year which now makes the tea set 80 years old. Do you get points for that kind of recycling?

Do you get points for that sort of recycling?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely yes! It's not just recycling, but loving and preserving something so delicately beautiful!
Full marks! - and it's not "new" :-)
Happy weaving, Vera
Yep, that's impressive. And lovely. Think I just broke the buy nothing new thing today - I went to a school art supply shop's sale - didn't get much but did buy some stuff - hopefully it will last a long time.
ReplyDeleteThanks Vera, it is wonderful to use it.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, in a moment of excitment I bought a worm farm yesterday! I have wanted one with a tap for ages and as I only shop locally the hardware here had just got them in. I think I can get away with something as important as a worm farm?????
